A little post to make up for having to postpone the Wrap-up Of The Week until further notice…You’re gonna love it. Stay with me.
Growing up and (sometimes now), I barely was the kind of person who watched the news to a great extent. My sources were usually the morning paper, digital articles, and human society studies throughout the years. But I’m afraid to say that Good Morning AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM…
The Moment That Changed Everything
On Wednesday, GMA’s co-anchors, Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes deactivated their instagram accounts just after images of them together on a romantic getaway ubiquitously surfaced.
Now I know you’re probably thinking something like, “Okay?? They’re both single adults. Leave them alone.” And here’s the thing: They’re kinda…not. Both have actually been married since 2010! Holmes, 45, is married to attorney, Marilee Fiebig while Robach, 49, is married to Melrose Place alum, Andrew Shue. According to PEOPLE, Holmes and Robach’s GMA colleagues were “somewhat surprised to see the new photos, though the pair's chemistry had been on display in the newsroom for a while.”
“There were rumors they were having an affair about a year ago,” said their source. “A lot of people believed there might have been some truth to it, because you can see there's a mutual affection there. But everyone ultimately chalked it up to friendship because they always said they were both happily married.”
The RomCom Beginning
In 2014, Good Morning America welcomed TJ and he instantly developed a strong connection with Amy. “[They] said, ‘Hey, we want to bring on a co-anchor. What do you think of T.J. Holmes?’ And I almost fell out of my chair,” Robach formerly declared to PEOPLE.
“My God. You couldn't have picked a better person to ask me what I thought of, because we've been trying to figure out a way to work together for literally the last five years.” she continued. “The moment he started at ABC, I think we just clicked. We've gone on tons of double dates with our spouses and my daughters babysit his daughters.” (Wait a minute. Let me move my bang and read that again…🤭🤭🤭)
Believe it or not, another informant told ET that whenever they worked on set, “everything was fun, sometimes flirty, but always professional.”
The Anniversary Post
“Built-in black superpower”: icky— maybe he shouldn’t have seen tomorrow. … I was HER #decadechallenge”: so unloving, divorced papers on the kitchen table material; a shiver went down my spine. Marilee has suffered more than Jesus y’all. Men will really sit there and embarrass you.
The On The Run Tour
Eventually, the twosome had grown closer. Amy would share photos of their matching attires on-set while they “bonded over their love of running” before turning into running buddies. They also competed in the New York City half-marathon together.
This video told me exactly how far they were already in. Like be for real right now. Why is he even sitting like that?? Oh my god. Fidelity and Decorum: GONE. I know TJ was swinging around them street poles like Power’s Ghost, blushing hard as hell, when he trying to beat Amy in races.
The Departure Of Mr.Shue (No, Not The One From Glee)
In October, fans of the co-hosts began to notice something missing in Robach’s instagram feed: her wedding ring. Although multiple outlets say that Robach and Holmes both consecutively separated from their partners in August, when the news of the co-hosts’ scandal broke, Amy’s husband, Shue, removed not one—not two—but ALL photos of Robach on HIS instagram account. Do you know how piqued you have to be to sit down and click on every image of your spouse, then press the three dots above, and the delete button? Chile. That’s an entire workout. Perhaps the spirit of Gone Girl’s Amy Dunne has gain access to his mentality, I fear…
The Two Days After
Amidst the chaos, seemingly rent was still due and teleprompters were read. On Thursday, Amy and TJ flawlessly hosted What You Need To Know: GMA3 together.
“Who’s looking forward to this weekend? 😁😁😁😁” I’m sorry. I can’t remove my obsession with it. He is not seeing those pearly gates at all.
As reported by (*deep, heavy sigh) TMZ, Holmes and Robach will “not be disciplined over their romantic relationship.” It’s pretty rare to see adultery win yet this story of theirs is ending in marvelous ratings. They’re breaking free, they’re soaring, they’re flying, and there’s not a star in heaven they can’t reach. I may like this couple. This is what “I lost focus and had a consensual workplace relationship.” was supposed to give. You gotta admire their strength; dipping your toes in a cheating scandal is a lot to handle and they sublimely outsold. What’s that thing people say? I got it: Love wins.
And that’s it folks! Thank you all for reading. I apologize for remaining out of the loop on everything else that’s happened this week but I’m trying my best. I think the last thing I said to you guys was my plan for watching Tár. Update: It was brilliant. Next up for me is an endeavor to keep up with The White Lotus. Anyway, enjoy your weekend :)
He may not meet the pearly gates; but they’re “finishing at the same time”🫣.
